Clothing made from Recycled Plastic Bottles

The Recycling and Upcycling World is a Huge Success! We are proud and happy to be a part of it!
In our humble opinion, one must be selective when purchasing "Poly" anything based products. When you shop, please look up contents and the source of clothes made from repurposed plastic bottles. From what I have learned, plastic leaks VOC(volatile organic compounds) during it's entire life time.
New plastic is considerably unhealthier than used or recycled plastic. The release of the chemical compounds is rapid and stronger when new. This also depends on the composition of the various compounds. That new smell that you might love in cars is actually plastic and not so healthy. The question is, does plastic stop releasing VOC once it has been given a new life? So far, what I have found is that it releases substantially less and much slower over time. If you wore plastic all the time, the body may not have a chance to cleanse the toxins out of your body. Also, some people's immune systems and detox capabilities are much stronger than others. We are all created differently. I for one, am particularly sensitive as luck has it! On the other hand, I feel that this is my body's way of alerting me to stay away from constant exposure to plastic. Who knows, maybe I'll live a lot longer and healthier. :) All joking aside, this is only one small part of a much larger formula to longevity and a healthy life. Every step you take counts and is important.
We are electing to sell our favorite recycled plastic clothing items. Some brands may be better than others. We have not learned enough about the manufacturing process since it is a relatively new industry, but some have a strong smell of plastic. It seems to depend on the methodology, whether any new ingredients have been added to it, or which manufacturing plant made it. We are continually learning and asking questions.
The movement of clothes made from recycled plastic bottles is such an incredibly worthwhile cause that we think we should extend an offering. Please consider your personal preferences and your personal health when you make a purchase of any kind. Please use your knowledge and select wisely in your own best interest. Our 100% plastic bottle clothing items are generally outer-wear. We try to stay away, for the most part, from items that are right against your skin. We may select a few items that require elasticity. If you are sensitive or have any concerns, we recommend you stay with Cotton, Modal, Wool, and other natural materials. You know best. Feel free to ask us for any additional information you may need. We will do our best to provide answers or get it for you.
For those of you who love the idea and want to support the cause, we hope you love our selection and recommend it to others. They are particularly fabulous for inclement and cold weather. By the way, some of our lines are and will be offering plastic content retrieved from the oceans (such as fishing nets). These teams of innovators are our heroes and champions participating in helping the planet stay a beautiful, clean and cozy place to live! Most of these lines will arrive in October.
